The transplantable Deals' sarcoma of guinea pigs was investigated. It has been found that the tumors are histologically uniform, consisting of large immature cells. Ultrastructure of the tumors was studied by electronmicroscope. In the hyaloplasm, numerous degenerated mitochondria were found and also great quantity of glycogen and many wide ergastoplasmic sacs. Inside these ergastoplasmic sacs doughnut-shaped or annular virus-like particles of a size of 700-750 Å could be seen.
