The crystal structure of trimethyltriephenyldisilane

Abstract

The crystal structure of trimethyltriphenyldisilane is reported. The SiSi bond length (2.355(1) Å) is shorter than that in perphenylated homocyclic cyclopolysilanes but somewhat longer than SiSi bonds reported for permethylated homocyclic cyclopolysilanes.
