Process synthesis of heat exchanger networks.

Abstract

The total procedure of heat exchanger network synthesis is outlined as a process synthesis problem from specification through design of final test calculations. One pass constructional structure synthesis methods are suggested. The main items of the procedure are the preoptimization of minimum approach temperature, structure synthesis, parameter optimization, design and analysis. Results are illustrated. (A)
