Preparation of decoherence-free, subradiant states in a cavity

Abstract

A method to prepare decoherence-free, subradiant states of a multiatomic system is presented. It is shown that this method is compatible with present day techniques in atom-cavity experiments. Furthermore, it is indicated that the perturbative approximation used in the present study can be verified via numerical calculation.
