A mézelö méh (Apis melifera L.) vírusos fertözéseinek elöfordulása a magyarországi méhészetekben

Abstract

Honey bees (Apis mellifera L.) play an important role in the nature and agriculture. Different bee diseases are regarded with more attention, and scientific research of bee pathogens has been continued with increased effort and interest, since bee diseases have an effect on honeybee colonies. This survey aimed to reveal prevalence of seven bee-pathogenic viruses, acute bee paralysis virus (ABPV), black queen cell virus (BQCV), chronic bee paralysis virus (CBPV), deformed wing virus (DWV), sacbrood virus (SBV), Kashmir bee virus (KBV) and Israeli acute paralysis virus (IAPV) in Hungary. The investigated samples were collected in 1999-2004 from 52, and in 2007 from 72 Hungarian apiaries located in different regions of the country. They compared the results of the monitoring survey in 1999-2004 to that in 2007, and to the survey performed in France and Austria. The results of the earlier survey showed that the prevalence of the viruses in Hungarian apiaries was generally lower than that found in surveys performed in France and Austria. In the survey in 2007 they found that after joining the EU the prevalence of some viruses increased compared to that in 1999-2004.
