Low-lying, excited [Formula Presented] bands in [Formula Presented]

Abstract

The lowest excited [Formula Presented] bands in [Formula Presented] have been studied by internal conversion electron spectroscopy following Coulomb excitation with [Formula Presented] particles at 19 MeV. Strong [Formula Presented] enhancement was found for transitions between the [Formula Presented] members of the [Formula Presented] bands and of the ground state rotational band, and [Formula Presented] strength values of 0.0099(18) and 0.175(26) were determined. Based on our more accurate energy value of the [Formula Presented] state, 997.23(24) keV, the moments of inertia for the excited [Formula Presented] bands were studied.
