Abstract

Radiotracer data obtained from the previous publication have been explained in terms of a triangular [FORMULA OMITTED] reaction scheme. The different apparent rôles of cyclohexene in the low and high conversion range have been evaluated. The two apparent ways of the triangular scheme were attributed to a single mechanism which involves the π-complex adsorption of the benzene ring followed by either random or “directed” addition of hydrogen atoms. These assumptions are in accordance with the geometrical theory of catalysis, too.
