Biner elegyek és oldatok interlamelláris szorpciója részlegesen hidrofóbizált szilikátfelületeken

Research output: Article

The solid/liquid interfacial sorption was investigated in miscible and partially miscible binary mixtures on swelling and non-swelling layer silicates. The solid surface was hydrophobized by cationic surfactants with different surface densities and the surface modification was characterized by determination of adsorption excess isotherms, microcalorimetric experiments and X-ray diffraction. It was established that the surface hydrophobicity can be characterized by combination of adsorption and calorimetric data. The degree of swelling on different adsorbents can be controlled not only by X-ray diffraction experiments, but also by the surfacial entropy functions calculated from the free enthalpy and enthalpy of adsorption.
