High temporal contrast front end with a multipass Ti:Saamplifier and a CaF2-based XPW temporal filter

Abstract

A laser system applying spectrally shaped multipass amplifier and cross polarized wave generation produces pulses with 80 nm bandwidth at 0.1mJ energy level, while the temporal contrast of the amplified 100 TW pulses exceeds 5.1010.
