Abstract

Experiments were carried out in a foam column for the determination of solid phase concentration distribution along the length of the column, the mixing of the liquid phase, and the measure of the gas - liquid contact surface. During the experiments, the gas flow rate was varied between 0. 08 and 0. 95 m/s, and the particle size of the suspended solid was altered between 20 multiplied by 10** minus **6 and 500 multiplied by 10** minus **6m values.
