Electronic anisotropy of nonlinear properties in the low-temperature sliding charge-density-wave state of K0.3MoO3

Abstract

We have investigated the electronic conduction and the dielectric polarization anisotropy in K0.3MoO3 at T=4.2 K. Anisotropy of the electric transport in the order of 104 reflects the strongly one-dimensional nature of sliding charge-density-wave conduction. Experiments conducted below threshold indicate that the interchain electrostatic coupling is weak and polarized domains can be developed independently in different sections of the specimens.
