Dynamically changing environment for generalized communicating P systems

Abstract

We define a modified concept of a generalized communicating P system, where the environment is represented by a finite multiset of objects which is allowed to dynamically change during the computation. We demonstrate the computational completeness of three restricted variants of this model, the cases when the system uses only split rules, or only join rules, or only parallel-shift rules. We discuss the relation between the original and the new model, and propose classifications of the environment.
