Collective dynamics of two-mode stochastic oscillators

A system composed of identical pulse-coupled two-mode stochastic oscillators was studied. As a function of a threshold condition, different types of synchronized and unsynchronized phases were revealed. Furthermore, it was shown that rhythmic collective behavior can be generated by suitably coupling largely stochastic units.
