Abstract
Skin tests and in vitro lymphocyte stimulation assays were done in 21 trisomic children and controls. Skin tests with tuberculin, monilia extract and in vitro stimulation of lymphocytes by PHA showed no significant difference. An impaired intradermal reactivity to PHA and a weakening of the reaction between 24 and 48 hr was found. There was no correlation between the PHA responses in vivo and in vitro.
