Abstract

Mössbauer spectroscopy provides us with the possibility of following the incorporation of antimony activators into halophosphate phosphors activated with antimony and manganese and to identify their positions in the crystal lattice. The conditions of the applicability of the method have been elaborated and a series of measurements have been performed on samples taken at different phases of the phosphor preparation, both for fluorapatites and chlorapatites respectively, activated with antimony and manganese.
