Abstract

The purity of the 16 mono- and ditetrazolium salts were studied on an alumina column in various eluent system such as: mixture of 1,4-dioxan and acetonitrile, 2+98 v/v, and mixture of 1,4-dioxan, methanol and carbon tetrachloride, 2+88+10 v/v, using the diode array detection to charactarize the impurities. Stepwise regression analysis was applied to find molecular parameters significantly influencing the retention of the main components. Alumina support was suitable for the separation of mono- and ditetrazolium salts, and the applied methods were appropriate for the purity check of the investigated compounds. The results of stepwise regression analysis indicates that different molecular parameters influence the retention in the eluent systems.
