A derivation of local composition expressions from partition functions

Abstract

This paper presents a method for developing local composition expressions from partition functions and the two-liquid theory. The assumptions required for the derivation are discussed. It is shown that the local composition expressions are theoretically founded only in the vicinity of complete randomness.
