Abstract

The anistropy of the elastic modulus and the change of texture during recrystallization has been examined at about 2 kHz on polycrystalline specimens cut out from Al plates of 99. 5% purity at different directions to that of rolling. Isothermal curves were obtained at T equals 290 degree C. Modulus change can be due not only to the variation of texture but also to other effects. An angle-dependent and an angle-independent contribution to the Young's modulus change has been separated and assigned to the variation of texture and to the dislocation annihilation, respectively.
