Wigner-function description of quantum teleportation in arbitrary dimensions and a continuous limit

Abstract

Quantum teleportation is described purely in terms of Wigner functions. This approach is shown to have several advantages in the description of imperfections. An example is given to show that Wigner functions can be considered as a useful tool for investigating phenomena in multipartite systems with finite-dimensional Hilbert spaces.
