Vibrational spectra of crystalline dimethylglyoxime, HONCCH3CH3CNOH

Abstract

Infrared and Raman spectra of crystalline powders of dimethylglyoxime-d0 and -d2 have been investigated. Polarized i.r. spectra of a single crystal specimen were recorded and used in the vibrational assignment. Small band shifts with the rotation of the polarizer were observed in accord with a previous hypothesis on occurrence of intermode mixing in systems of low symmetry.
