Vestibular reaction in infants and in childhood

Abstract

Vestibular response reactions elicited by caloric cold stimulus have been examined by the authors in infants and in childhood. It was found that the reaction time of the nystagmus is lower in childhood than in adults. However, with progressing age the difference decreases more and more and after the age of 10 years the vestibular response reactions correspond to those seen in adults.
