Vehicle model for an automatic parking control system

Abstract

Vehicle models are very important to determine position or dynamical state of the vehicles. An automatic parking control system also needs such a model to estimate the vehicle's actual position. The parking maneuver is a special vehicle motion because we can neglect the dynamical effects due to the low velocities. With an appropriate tire model, reliable simulations can be made as well.
