Abstract

Altogether 43 patients' operative results are compared with the results of the preoperative knee scintigraphy from two directions. The sensitivity of the examinations in detection of meniscal lesions was found to be 87 per cent, their specificity 73 per cent. The causes of the false negative and false positive results are analysed. The results are compared with the literary data of the invasive arthroscopy and arthrography and it is thought, that the hit security of the noninvasive scintigraphy reaches that of the more invasive methods.
