Abstract

The reaction of dihydrophosphinine oxides with tetracyanoethylene is presented. Structures of the unexpected products have been elucidated and evaluated by a joint application of spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations. These calculations helps in serving two goals. Firstly they help in selecting the most stable structures and secondly in obtaining reliable geometrical data.
