Abstract

Through the merging of the well known Lotka-Volterra and Brusselator schemes we obtained a two dimensional model, the Lotka-Volterra-Brusselator (LVB), that exhibits the essential qualitative properties of the three dimensional Explodator model. We found a Ljapunov function through which the global analysis of LVB was carried out. As a function of the single parameter C of the dynamical system, the following qualitative behaviors were established: Spiral explosion with an infinite number of the extrema in both variables X and Y (0
