Thymectomy in the young pig: Effects on the level of circulating thymic hormone

Abstract

Thymectomy in the young pig induces a rapid decrease in the level of a serum factor active on mouse rosette-forming cells. Conversely, this activity, which is also found in thymic extracts, is not altered by sham thymectomy.
