Thermomagnetic study of nanophases in Fe-based soft magnetic materials

Abstract

The Curie temperatures (Tc) of metastable nanophases have been investigated in partially crystallized Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 and Fe86Zr7Cu1B6 nanostructured soft magnetic alloys as a function of annealing temperature and time. It is shown that for both materials a supersaturated phase is formed which transforms only at the second stage of crystallization by dissolution of the solute elements monitored by the steep increase of Tc.
