Abstract

Forty-two burn injuries and 22 frost injuries were investigated. Both high temperature and cold made the tenocytes necrosed, the collagen fibers denaturated and fragmented. As a consequence of severe tendon damages and of the difficulty of regeneration it was believed that in cases of incidental healing restoration of the original function could be expected.
