Thermal impedance measurement of laser diode chips using electrical methods only

Abstract

Operational characteristics of laser diodes and the possibility of their laser operation are described. A new thermal impedance measurement method is found with the help of the current versus voltage function, at current pulses with finite rising and falling times. The influence of thermoelectric voltage on laser chips is examined.
