Thermal conductivity of strongly coupled Yukawa liquids

Abstract

The nonequilibrium molecular dynamics (NEMD) calculations for the thermal conductivity of strongly coupled Yukawa liquids were discussed. The calculations covered a wide range of plasma coupling (γ) and screening (κ) parameters. The γmin limit as function of κ and system size was determined by studying the decay of the velocity autocorrelation function. The results show that at lower γ values, the molecular dynamics simulation method could still work with higher number of particles.
