### Abstract

A simple approximation is shown to exist for the calculation of the vibrational angular momentum contribution to the normal frequencies in the case of vibrational-rotational interactions. The approximation is rendered possible by the vibrational characteristics of certain molecules and the existence of quadratic Coriolis zeta sum rules.
