Description of a case of granulomatous ameloblastoma in a man of 53. The clinical light and electron microscopic aspects of the tumor are outlined. This type of tumor is very rare. Concerning the granules of the tumor a positive PAS staining was found. Diastase digestion had hardly any effect. The granules were damaged mitochondria contrary to those seen in myoblastoma, and their increase in number can be regarded as a compensatory phenomenon.
