The state of water in normal and senile cataractous lenses studied by nuclear magnetic resonance

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

The state of water was studied in clear and senile cataractous eye lenses by nuclear magnetic resonance. A decrease was found in the amount of the 'bound' water fraction in the completely opaque lenses. The changes in relaxation time are also thought to be consequences of this decrease.
