Abstract

An attempt is made to modify the classical measuring technique generally used for radiotracer studies using isotopes emitting β-radiation. The technical problems connected with the measurement of X-rays induced by β particles absorbed in various media are discussed. The experimental feasibility of the new method is demonstrated by two illustrative examples using 63Ni and 99Tc isotopes for labelling in the study of electrodeposition and dissolution processes.
