Outcome of 150 pregnancies complicated with oligohydramnios were examined. The results were compared to healthy pregnancies. This was the control group. It has been found that occurrence of the intrauterine growth retardation and signs of the intrauterine distress in the pathological group are more frequent than in the control group. After comparing the body length and the body weight of the newborns we found a significant difference between the two groups. The authors emphasize the significance of the recognition in time of oligohydramnios and the importance of ultrasound examination during pregnancy.
