Abstract

Shoots of Sorbus rotundifolia L. were cultured on half MS basic medium supplemented with 0.75 mg/1 BA, 0.1 mg/1 IBA and 0.1 mg/1 GA3. Different concentrations of sucrose and glucose (5-30 g/1) were added to the medium. The optimum concentrations of carbohydrates were 15 and 20 g/1. When more sugar was added to the media, lower chlorophyll content was observed. The anatomical character of leaves grown in vitro differed from the leaves grown in vivo.
