Abstract

The biologically stimulating effect of ε N DL trimethyl lysine (TML) was studied using lymphocyte cultures. As an effect of a single TML treatment (5 μg/ml or 25 μg/ml) blastic transformation of a proportion of the thymus dependent lymphocytes was observed. It is of theoretical interest that TML may produce a depression of DNA synthesis which results in the proliferation also of totally 'resting' lymphocyte populations.
