Abstract

The review first deals with the distribution of this flea species, its biology and ecology (feeding and breeding behaviour, larval and pupal development, host seeking activities of adults and surviving ability of adults off their hosts). The next part of the paper presents information on veterinary and medical importance of the cat flea including the flea-bite allergic dermatitis (FAD) of dogs and cats.
