Temperature dependence of elastic properties of paratellurite

Abstract

New data are presented on the temperature dependence of the elastic wave velocities, elastic stiffness constants, and thermal expansion of paratellurite. It is shown that the external pressure appreciably influences the elastic properties of TeO2, especially the temperature dependence of the elastic modulus connected with the crystal soft mode.
