Synthesis of chlorinated 3,5-diaryl-2-pyrazolines by the reaction of chlorochalcones with hydrazines

Abstract

A series of chlorinated 3,5-diaryl-2-pyrazolines has been synthesized by the reaction of appropriately substituted chlorochalcones and mono-substituted hydrazines in hot acetic acid solution. The structures of all new compounds have been elucidated by microanalysis and 1Hand 13C- NMR spectroscopic measurements.
