SXS investigation of YBaCuO ceramics

Abstract

A soft X-ray investigation of the perovskite-type high Tc superconductors is presented on the ReBa2CuxOy (Re = Y, Eu: 1.5 ≤ x ≤ 9: 6.3 ≤ y ≤ 7) samples. A comparison of the special copper-oxide compounds with the ceramic superconductors is discussed. A tendency of the spectra with the valency of copper as well as with the copper-concentration was observed, and some changes were seen between the spectra measured at room temperature and those at 77 K. The emphasized role of the YBaCuO compounds and their metastability are well recognisable from the trends of electronic-density of states against the concentration of the components.
