Abstract
Activation cross sections by protons (up to 36 MeV) and deuterons (up to 50 MeV) induced reactions were measured in a stacked foil irradiation using thin Ga-Ni (70/30%) targets. Excitation functions for 68,69Ge are discussed and the results are compared with the literature values and with the theoretical predictions of TALYS nuclear reaction code. High beam power withstanding targets for production of 68Ge by proton irradiation of Ga were developed using electrodeposition of Ga-Ni alloy (70/30%) on thick Cu backings. A PC-controlled radiochemistry system for the production of nca 68Ge was developed.
