3H uridine incorporation of the peritoneal, subcutaneous, thymus, spleen and thyroid mast cells was examined radioautographically. The activity could be detected only in the interfollicular mast cells of the thyroid gland. The results confirmed the synthetic activity of these cells and demonstrated the difference between these and the mast cells of other organs.
