Sum rules for the baryon matrix elements of the weak non-leptonic Hamiltonian

Abstract

Sum rules for the baryon matrix elements of the weak non-leptonic Hamiltonian are studied. Some connection between S- and P-wave hyperon decay amplitudes is found. A modified hard-pion method is proposed for the evaluation of the decay matrix elements, which leads to a slightly more favourable comparison with experiment.
