The specific adsorption of HSO4- ions has been studied in the course of the electrosorption of copper ions using a radiotracer method. It has been shown, that the electrosorption of copper induces a significant adsorption of HSO4- ions. The problem of the electrosorption valency (γ) of copper has been discussed in the light of the experimental data. It has been shown that a value of γ<z may be attributed to the simultaneous adsorption of copper and HSO4-.
