Abstract

Formation by ball milling of the Al45Ti40Cr15 and Al55Ti35Cr15 amorphous alloys and their mechanical crystallization upon further milling have been investigated. Ti addition improves the glass forming ability and increases the strength of the powder compacts obtained by hot pressing.
