Structural instability and high temperature superconductivity

Abstract

The influence of structural instability on superconducting pairing in new oxide metals is investigated. It is shown that the interaction of electrons with highly anharmonic oxygen-ion vibrations results in a sufficiently large coupling constant and high Tc.
