Abstract

This M. Triassic section comprises, from the base: 1) dolomicrosparites and fine grained dolosparites without fossils, overlain by banded dolomitic marls; 2) grey chert-nodular, bedded limestone, represented by spiculiferous biomicrites, spongoliths; 3) brownish-grey crinoidal-brachiopodal limestone, with foraminifera and conodonts; 4) brownish, grey, marly limestone, with numerous Ostracods represents the upper part of the Anisian; 5) green and brown tuffaceous-argillaceous sequence representing 'key beds' of the M Triassic in the Balaton Highland with a great quantity of radiolarians and foraminifera; 6) red cherty nodular limestone beds, pelmicrites with numerous ammonoids. - from Authors
