Abstract

Stopping powers of aluminium and tin in the energy range 3–10 MeV for 4He ions, in the range 3–17 MeV for 7Li, 8–20MeV for 11B, 10–23MeV for 12C, 9–22MeV for 14N, and 11–25MeV for 16O ions have been determined by using the transmission technique. The experimental stopping powers are compared with the predictions of semiempirical models. The available literature data is surveyed and compared with the present data.
