Standing waves and Kossel line patterns in structure determination

Abstract

Synchrotron radiation excited Kossel and standing wave line patterns of a NiO mosaic crystal are presented. It is shown that crystallographic parameters such as symmetries, crystal orientation and lattice parameters can be obtained from this type of measurement.
